Los Angeles has provided the opportunities for Mr. Davis to study with some of the most respected architects of our day and then also to begin his own practice. This work has continued profitably for over 25 years.

DAVY was established as a California corporation at the beginning of 2014.

The prior name for the business was STUDIODAVIS which is now a subsidiary of the corporation. It is a small and influential firm in West Hollywood with the CEO David A. Davis at the helm. Mr. Davis is trained in architecture and also in fine art. He has chosen to remain unlicensed in architecture and involves prominent architectural firms in each of the firm’s projects.

Mr. Davis has designed the firms offices in both West Hollywood and then also in a loft in Downtown Los Angeles. The Downtown space also contains David’s fine art studio where his painting career and conceptual architecture develop.

Design is at the core of what the firm is about both in the ground up and interior project work. Fendi Casa, Christian Louboutin, and Steinway & Sons have chosen buildings designed by Mr. Davis for their Los Angeles retail projects. He does his building design and tenant improvements with architectural firms in Los Angeles. Randall Baylon Architects, Inc. and Fore Architects are among the firms chosen by Mr. Davis to be the executive architects on his projects.

DAVY has a continuing involvement with other firms’ project expediting work in West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, and Los Angeles. The West Hollywood projects began with attorney Nathan Goller, his daughter Jamie Adler, and her husband John Adler. They have continued with Ronald S. Kates and vice president Janet Vanever. David also does extensive work with Stafford Commercial Real Estate with Ted Stafford.

The word DAVY is from Mr. Davis’ family history. It was chosen for the primary corporate name to honor Welch, Scottish, and British histories in David’s family. The support of his talents and work by his family and in particular his sister and brother today have played a primary role in his work. David is also in the center of a small group of close friends who all were excited over the formation of DAVY last year and the development of the DAVY Studio in Downtown L. A.
